Programs
At ActUp, we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to express themselves creatively. Our inclusive acting programs are designed to support people of all abilities in developing confidence, communication, and performance skills through drama, music, and movement.
Improvisation and Character Building
Our improvisation classes are filled with engaging activities and creative games that encourage participants to explore imagination, teamwork, and expression. Students learn to build characters, respond in the moment, and gain confidence in their performance abilities in a supportive and enjoyable environment.
School Holiday Program
Our two-day School Holiday Program introduces the fundamentals of drama and performance.Throughout the workshop, participants will: Develop their own original character with the support of personalised worksheets and guidance from our experienced teachers, take part in drama games and group activities designed to encourage creativity and collaboration and build confidence and communication skills in a safe, inclusive setting. This program provides a fun and enriching way for teenagers to explore acting, meet new people, and express themselves.
Weekly Musical Theatre Programs
Our Musical Theatre classes combine singing, dancing, and acting to create a well-rounded performance experience. Participants explore movement, vocal work, and character development while learning how to tell stories through song and performance.
Weekday Adult Workshops
Our Adult Workshops vary each term and offer a range of creative opportunities. Programs may include: Drama and improvisation, Musical theatre, Art and creative expression and Scene creation and storytelling. Each workshop is designed to build confidence, encourage creativity, and provide a supportive environment for personal growth and artistic exploration.
Performance and Social Opportunities
Outside of regular classes, we offer a range of performance and social experiences that bring our community together. Participants have the chance to showcase their skills throughout the year, culminating in a major performance at the end of 2026.
We also host inclusive social events such as pizza nights, karaoke nights, and other themed gatherings, giving everyone the chance to connect, celebrate achievements, and have fun in a relaxed environment.
